Shrinking Satellite
The Hurry-Scurry Galaxy is one of the smaller galaxies in the comet observatory bathroom and will be unlocked once you have collected at least 18 Power Stars. An unusual challenge awaits you here, in which speed and safe control are required above all. Almost the entire floor is made up of green platforms that dissolve as soon as Mario enters them. You therefore have only a few moments to reach the next safe surface before the ground under your feet disappears. Immediately after your landing, you will see the narrow path of green plates running through space. On one of the first platforms, a Goomba runs around, which you best stun from a distance with a star part. This way you can safely walk past him or eliminate him with a targeted kick. Then enter the first green platform and follow the given path. Keeps moving as constantly as possible and avoids being left unnecessarily at the edges. The individual plates disappear shortly after the first contact and do not reappear during this experiment. If you miss one of them or take the wrong path, you have to overcome the gap with a jump. Along the track you will also find numerous Star Bits, which you can collect with the pointer of the Wii remote control as Mario continues to run. So you do not have to interrupt your movement and do not risk an unnecessary crash.
After several turns, you finally reach a larger, grey platform, where some members of the Toad search party are waiting for you. In contrast to the green plates, this substrate is stable, so you can stand safely here and orient yourself. On the left side there is also a 1-up mushroom, which you can reach via the adjacent green platforms. If you want to collect the extra life, you should jump directly on the platform with the mushroom and then return to the safe area. Be careful not to enter unnecessarily many of the surrounding plates, as you may still need them for the way back. From the gray platform, the actual path leads you to the left to a single green plate, above which floats a yellow? block. Jump several times against the block to collect the coins contained in it. Meanwhile, the underground is already beginning to dissolve. This is intended at this point, however, because immediately below the platform is a hidden Launch Star. Once the green plate has completely disappeared, you drop down and perform a spin at the right moment. This activates the Launch Star and throws you to the next celestial body. If you miss the Launch Star, Mario will crash into the depths. Therefore, make sure that you are as central as possible over him when falling down.
You are now landing on an unusually shaped planet whose entire surface consists of the known vanishing green platforms. Inside, there is a huge black hole that immediately engulfs you when you fall through one of the emerging openings. In addition, numerous colorful musical notes appear shortly after your landing, which you have to collect completely in order to expose the desired Power Star. Therefore, do not stop, but immediately run forward and follow the first note track. At the top of the planet there are two notes that you should take directly one after the other. Then you hold on the right and run over the obliquely sloping platforms downwards. The additional notes form a largely coherent track that takes you across the different sides of the planet in several curves. Try to collect all the notes of a row on the first pass, as the green plates disappear behind you and make a later return increasingly difficult. Especially at the intersections you should stay as much as possible on a row and not unnecessarily on neighboring plates. This will give you additional areas if you have to change the direction again at a later point or skip a gap. The music notes themselves are only available for a limited time, so you should adjust your direction as early as possible to the next music track.
In the further course, the track leads you several times over the corners and sides of the planet. Since gravity is centered everywhere, you can easily walk over the edges and continue your path on the adjacent surfaces. Avoid larger jumps, however, as long as you can not accurately identify the next substrate. An ordinary run is often the safer choice here, because Mario collects the individual notes more reliably and you can control his movements better. If you accidentally miss a note, try to reach it with a short jump or a spin instead of running back the entire way. The already disappeared platforms make longer detours dangerous, and often you can collect a single note from close up without having to return to another side of the planet. Towards the end of the route, the last musical note often hovers a little above the ground. Jump off in time and touch them to complete the melody. Once you have collected all the musical notes, the black hole in the center of the planet disappears and in its place the Power Star finally appears. You no longer have to try to reach the last remaining platforms. Instead, just drop in through one of the openings and pull directly from gravity to the star. Once Mario touches him, the mission is complete and you have received the only Power Star of the Hurry-Scurry Galaxy. There are no other stars or secret missions in this galaxy. Using the Super Mario Galaxy complete solution, you can then return to the overview of the remaining galaxies.
