Bowser Jr.'s Robot Reactor

Super Mario Galaxy guide hub

Megaleg’s Moon

The first planet has a black hole inside it: falling over the edge costs a life. Stay on the surface and spin the enemies away from Mario. Approach the cannon and let a Bullet Bill lock onto you. Lead it to the cage containing the Launch Star, then dodge just before impact. The missile breaks the cage; use the freed Launch Star to reach Megaleg.

After a short sequence, you face the massive three-legged robot. To get to the Power Star, you have to climb the huge opponent. Run first to the left and wait for one of his legs to sit on the floor. Once it’s fixed, you run up along it. Hurry, because the leg will be raised again after a short time. Follow the path over the metallic components further and further upwards and pay special attention to the numerous cannons that shoot you with Bullet Bill on the way. Run straight ahead as quickly as possible so that you are not hit and the shells may destroy each other. Then the path leads you via another metal arm to several gears. Move carefully here so that you do not fall into the depths between the moving parts. On the opposite side, you can continue your ascent by following the green arrows that show you the way up.

At the top of Megaleg, lure a Bullet Bill into the outer barrier to reveal the cage containing the Power Star. Return down the robot until another missile locks onto Mario, then lead it back up and into the fence. Break enough of the regenerating fence to create an opening. Finally, guide a Bullet Bill through that opening and into the star cage. Move aside just before impact, keeping clear of the explosion and the edges of the robot. Collect the released Power Star.
