After completing the story ending, revisit the fifteen main galaxies for their Purple Coin comet missions. Collect 100 coins in each mission and take the Power Star; the mission does not finish merely because the counter reaches 100.
Timed routes
Space Junk, Ghostly, Gusty Garden, Gold Leaf, Toy Time and Dreadnought require particular attention to the clock or forced movement. Read the full route before beginning. In Toy Time there are more than 100 coins available, so choose a connected path and leave enough ground for the return to the starting platform.
Untimed searches
On open exploration routes, sweep one section at a time and check high ledges, undersides and the space behind the starting point. A counter of 99 normally indicates an overlooked individual coin rather than a separate unlock. Use the numbered groups in the chapter to identify the missing section.
Moving-platform collections
Battlerock and Dreadnought combine coin collection with a moving ride. Watch ahead, collect the low and high groups in sequence and use small jumps to stay with the platform. Missing a coin behind the ride can require restarting the mission.
