Rock and Rollodillo

In this mission you have to use the stone mushroom for the first time. You land on the first planet and see the Rock Mushroom, enclosed in a glass dome. To free him, you must defeat all the opponents around him. When you have defeated everyone, collect the mushroom and you turn into stone Mario, you can now destroy stones, crystals and many more things if you turn before.

Comet Medal

After receiving the stone mushroom, go to the crystal and turn to destroy the crystal. The Comet Medal is already waiting for you.

Now go to the bridge and roll against it so that it falls forward and opens the way for you. Roll right from the beginning of the bridge. Try shooting all the thorn cones, if you hit all of them, you get a 1-Up. Use the ramp to get to the next planet.

There are some enemies on the next planet, including three stone balls. Defeat all opponents either using the stone transformation, or with the normal technique, but if you want to use the spin, you must not wear the stone transformation. Once you have defeated all opponents, except the stone balls, the Launch Star will appear. Use it to get ahead.

The next planet is populated mainly by stone balls and Chain Chomps. Attention: With the Rock Mushroom you can not defeat Chain Chomps, you lose vitality if you try! Try to get to the crystal upstairs as soon as possible. Destroy him and a small Launch Star appears

Use the Launch Star to get ahead.

You’ll land on a crystal planet with a Lumalee, a checkpoint and a Launch Star. At Lumalee, buy either a 1-Up Mushroom or a Life Mushroom for 30 Star Bits. The boss fight that follows will be a bit difficult for beginners! Once you’ve done everything, use the Launch Star to get to the boss of this mission.

The boss is called Rollodillo, he owns a round grid planet. Collect a Rock Mushroom right after you land, it's near the starting point. Be careful not to be hit by Rollodillo. If you have it, try to hit Rollodillo on the tail with the stone transformation, you have to do this four times. After each time, he tries to meet you by bending into a spiky ball and pull your health. If he has not made it a few times, then he has no strength and wants to rest. Your opportunity to meet him at the back of the tail. After each hit, the attempts become more to meet you. If you hit him four times, you defeated him and the Power Star appears.

Rolling Crabber Romp

Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears.

You have only 60 seconds in this mission to defeat 30 Crabbers on a planet, while there are some 1-up Crabbers among them. You land on a smaller planet at the beginning, but immediately use the Launch Star, otherwise you run out of time!

When you arrive on the planet, immediately get the Rock Mushroom and start rolling. After some time, you automatically stop rolling, which is advantageous but also disadvantageous. There is no tactic, as the Crabbers move differently depending on how you move. When you meet 1-up Crabbers, a 1-Up Mushroom appears, but permanently, so if you happen to roll by again, you can collect it. It sometimes takes several attempts, but after a few times have made it and the Power Star appears.

C'mere, Goomba

This mission is only available when the Gearmo gives you the assignment.

It takes place on the round planet with the Chain Chomps and the rock balls. You will find the Gearmo to the left of the starting point. Talk to him and he demands that you bring him a Goomba in his fence. After talking to him, move back to the launch site and destroy a stone with the Rock Mushroom, underneath which is a Goomba. Curl him so that he runs behind you towards the Gearmo. You have to be especially careful when “crossing” that the Goomba is not defeated by a bullet. Furthermore, you must note that the Goomba also deprives you of vitality. You have two attempts per level, then there are no more Goombas, then you have to try again. Once you have made it, you will receive the Power Star from the Gearmo.

Comet Medal

Defeat the three Elite Octoombas to take the Rock Mushroom. Smash the large purple crystal on the starting planet with Rock Mario to release the medal inside.

Green Stars — unlock requirement

Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.

Green Star 1

Before knocking down the starting bridge, climb its upright sides with repeated wall jumps and spins. The star is at the top. If you flatten the bridge first, restart this mission to restore the climbing surface.

Green Star 2

Knock the bridge down with Rock Mario, but walk up the next ramp instead of rolling from it. Look behind the ramp and jump into the star suspended there.

Green Star 3

Use the ramp to reach the planet with rolling boulders. Walk towards the Elite Octoomba; the star is beyond the wooden fence behind that enemy. Clear the approach and jump over the fence.

Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
