Gobblegut's Aching Belly
In this mission you can grab the first Great Power Star. When you landed on the planet, go up first, then to the right. Take care of the Astro-Goombas. Then move on until a Thwomp comes.
Comet Medal
The Comet Medal is on the Thwomp, so you have to skilfully jump to the top of the Thwomp.
Now pass under the womb without being crushed. Then you have to flip the switch to the left to open the big gate. When the gate is open, move on to the small Launch Star.
The next planet is made of lava and solid rock that forms a path. Follow the path and avoid opponents or defeat them. Collect the Max on the way. Life Mushroom, you will need it! Then use the big Launch Star.
The Launch Star sets off for the final planet, where you’ll see Bowser Jr. throw you at a dragon to eat. This dragon is a very heavy boss opponent, you probably need several attempts the first time you do this. In the beginning it moves over the planet. Then he slowly goes to the ground and stirs up the earth. He can do this more often, but if you hear a whistle, he digs through the earth. You must now go to the impact site and destroy as many pink belly rings as possible. After three pieces he gets angry and faster, as he churns the earth he can now more easily catch you. Then, when he digs through the planet, you have to be careful about destroying the first three rings. Then it may be that he sees you while you destroy the belly rings, then he comes to push you away. Once you have destroyed all the belly rings, the dragon explodes and you can hold your first big star in your hands.
Fiery Flotilla Speed Run
Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears.
In this mission, you must manage to defeat Gobblegut within just two minutes. That sounds very hard and it is. You just have to defeat the boss, you don’t have to cross the galaxy anymore. Another difficulty is that the dragon moves faster. You don’t have a Max here either. Life Mushroom available. When the dragon digs in, you need to catch as many belly rings as possible. In addition, you can also attack the belly rings when they float in the air. Otherwise, the boss fight is the same as the one from the first mission, but in the end you get a normal Power Star.
Comet Medal
On the approach to the castle, climb above the Thwomp blocking the path. The medal floats directly overhead; ride the Thwomp and jump from its top.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
In Gobblegut’s Aching Belly, use the exterior Thwomp to reach the castle wall. Backflip onto it, jump towards the wall and wall-jump onto the battlements. Follow the ridges to the star above the north-west tower.
Green Star 2
On Lava Planet, stop beside the Launch Star. Line up the green star across the lava and long-jump directly towards it. The aim is to collect the star during the flight, before Mario falls into the lava.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
