Digga-Leg's Planet
On the first planet, you can use the vortex drill, a new item, for the first time. If you want to go to the other side of a planet and you have a Spin Drill, you can dig to the other side using a spin. But this only works on earth, for example, it does not work on steel. You can get a 1-Up Mushroom on this planet by drilling yourself into the cage, there is a marker on the other side. Some coins can be collected in the same way. To reach the Launch Star, you need to use the Spin Drill on the other side of the highest raise. There you will meet a Luma who turns into a Launch Star and sends you to the next planet.
The next planet consists of two sides, where you have to dig with skillful digging on the largest tower of the top.
Comet Medal
Dig to the other side at the bottom of the lowest “tower”. Then you come on top to the right tower and can collect the Comet Medal.
To reach the highest tower, you must first dig on the top of the deepest “tower” to get to the high tower on the bottom. Then go a little to the right on the other tower and dig. You come out on the highest tower. Speak to the Luma that turns into a Launch Star and it takes you to the next planet.
The next planet consists of a ring on which ballet flowers dance in a circle. Be careful not to push you off the ring.
With the small Launch Star on the green planet, you can activate a large? coin, which in turn makes some coins appear.
You continue by waiting on the top left platform for a Luma, which then comes immediately. This turns you into a staring that takes you to the next planet.
The next planet is a sphere, even if it looks like you can't drill here, you can drill this here. There are a lot of coins inside the planet, from the inside it is also easier to get to the Launch Star if you drill with the Spin Drill. Once you reach the Launch Star, use it.
The Launch Star takes you to the Toad spaceship, which you meet here for the first time. On the spaceship is the leader Toad, a Luma shop that for 30 Star Bits is either a 1-Up Mushroom or a Life Mushroom transformed, a checkpoint and staring. After doing your finishes, use the Launch Star to get to the last planet.
The last planet holds Digga-Leg. Wait until it turns over and exposes the glass dome on its underside, then drill through the planet with the Spin Drill to strike the dome. Three successful hits defeat it. Between openings, avoid the boss’s feet and the Diggas it releases. Jump onto the Diggas to clear space before attempting another drill attack. Collect the Power Star once Digga-Leg breaks apart.
Silver Stars Down Deep
The first planet is very similar to the first mission. Only now there is the difficulty that Cosmic Clones are following you. Be careful not to get caught. To get rid of the Cosmic Clones, you have to free the small Launch Star from the crystal. If you use this, you will come up with an elevation of the planet on which a piranha plant is located. Defeat this and a vine appears. Use it by turning along Ranke.
The next planet is cylindrical and has an outside and an inside. Where you arrive is a tube and a teleporter.
Now use green tube that brings you into the interior of the planet. The interior consists mainly of soil, which can be drilled, and steel walls. Take the Spin Drill and drill down on the second option, taking care of a Digga. Now drill through the soil, you will notice that you bounce at a leaning corner by 90°. After you have come out again, continue drilling down, but pale on the right, but still on the left soil. You're bouncing off two corners at once. Once you get downstairs, use the green tube. Through the green tube you come to the second part of the inner life. In this you also have to drill again, you have to take care that you do not clash with a Sparky, they draw health from you. The further down, the faster the Sparkys get. Once you get downstairs, use the orange tube that takes you to the Outer Bottom. If you want, collect the Star Bits and then use the Launch Star to get to a spaceship. On your way to the next normal planet, you will notice another Launch Star. Use this one so that you come to a group of planets where there are many coins and items. You have to remember that each planet has its own attraction. There is a 1-Up Mushroom and a Life Mushroom.
This time you will encounter a blue Toad spaceship, on which the Blue and the Yellow Toad are located. Activate the checkpoint and use the Launch Star to get to the last planet.
On the last planet you have to collect 5 Silver Stars, which then unite to form a Power Star. Take care of the Diggas digging around the planet. Here are the five Silver Stars, the arrangement is that you can see from the starting point i.e. top right is top left.
* One is on the surface. To the left of the starting point. * One is in the hole at the bottom right, you have to drill in that hole. * One is in a hole at the top left, you just have to use the drill at the right point, because the star is more up. * One is in the hole at the top right and is easy to fetch. * One is in the hole at the top right. You have to hit directly, otherwise you can not catch the star. If you don't catch it, you can try it again by drilling, or you let the Goomba pull your health, don't collect the drill and try to get the star with backflip, wall jump and turn jump.
After collecting all the Silver Stars, the star appears on the upper side of the planet.
Digga-Leg’s Daredevil Run
Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears. In this mission you have to fight again against Digga-Leg, you have only one segment of the health and you can not recharge it, therefore there are no coins. Dodge the drilling attacks at the beginning and jump on them a little later to prevent them from meeting with their pointed head. Once you’ve defeated all the Diggas, dodge the Digga-Leg and drill directly on his stomach with a Spin Drill. You have to do this several times, making it more difficult with each time. Once you defeat him, collect the Power Star.
Comet Medal
Use the Spin Drill to cross between the two sides of Drill Zone Planet. Line up with the tall dirt column so drilling from its opposite end places Mario on the column holding the medal.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
In Digga-Leg’s Planet, reach the fenced section of Drill Zone Planet. Backflip onto the narrow fence and walk along it until the star’s shadow is beneath you. Jump vertically, adding a spin if needed.
Green Star 2
Continue Digga-Leg’s Planet to Steel Ring Planet. Near its Launch Star, use a triple jump and spin into the high star. Luigi’s higher backflip offers another approach.
Green Star 3
Choose Silver Stars Down Deep. Inside the purple cylinder, stop after drilling through the first corner. Triple-jump back towards the entry patch, then wall-jump off its edge to reach the star overhead.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
