Bowser's Fortified Fortress
Run along the green carpet and follow the Luma over the circulating fireballs. In the end, he turns into a Launch Star who shoots you to three hammer brothers. Defeat them so that a flower appears with which you can float over the lava. Fly down to the left and avoid the fireballs. Once you reach the bottom, you use the Spin Drill to dig through the earth.
Touch the Checkpoint Flag and let the big Bullet Bill pass before you run forward and hide on the left on the stone plate. After another shot, you can continue to walk and drill your way through the earth. On the other hand, you repeat the whole thing to finally reach a Launch Star.
In the following 2D section you first jump over the moving platforms further to the right, where a cloud flower floats. Take them and carry yourselves up with the clouds. But beware that the Bullet Bills do not destroy the clouds. Always try to place it in the middle. On the right again the same game. It’s best to always do a backflip before you roll around. At the top, the Luma finally turns into a Launch Star.
Run across the bridge and defeat the annoying Magikoopa. Grab Yoshi to the right and swing over the flowers to another lava section. Swing quickly to the left, because the stone plate threatens to sink. But be careful not to get into the bubbling lava. Once again on solid ground, two Hammerbrothers are waiting to be taken down by you. Finally, the stone wall opens in the middle, where you storm through using the Dash Pepper. At the other end, a small Launch Star is waiting.
Swallow the Magikoopa Kopa with Yoshi before you follow the moving platform. If it splits in the middle, you can choose a path – none is more difficult. As soon as the lava monster appears, quickly jumps to the other side and does the same again, if one also appears here. At the end you swing quickly with the flowers to the Comet Medal. Then grab the Blimp Fruit to escape another creature. But then fly back to the platform, which brings you back to solid ground.
Move up using the flagpole. Here, as with other galaxies before, you shoot the balls against the three Bowser rocks. Once the goal has been uncovered, you hover directly to the final battle. Before that you can collect a Life Mushroom on the left.
Boss Fight Phase 1
After a short conversation with Bowser, it starts. But the course of the struggle remains almost unchanged. Shoot the bullets in the direction of the Fiesling to elicit the last big star after three hits. A small difference this time, however, is that the pink electric threads are no longer circular, but extend perpendicularly over the entire planet. So the evasion becomes a little more difficult. After the third goal, it looks as if the fight was finally won, but ultimately a nice passage follows.
Boss Fight Phase 2
Shoot a total of four bullets at Bowser to get him back again. Be careful not to get too close. However, it is easy to hit at this distance. After you have made this sequence, follow the credits first. But there is still a world to discover!
Bowser's Big Bad Speed Run
Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears.
With this comet star you have to create the complete level within the time limit again – but in this case without a final battle. You need the watches again to give you valuable time. The two checkpoints are also quite useful, as they send you back to the adventure with a fair time. If you memorize the distribution of the watches well and run without detours to the goal, you will soon have the star in your pocket after much practice.
Comet Medal
Keep Yoshi through the Snake Block lava section. Near its end, use the Blimp Fruit to reach the medal while avoiding the Magmaargh. Collect it before continuing towards the final door.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
During the opening Floaty Fluff ride, steer towards the star near the last lava cliff before the Spin Drill platform. Release only once your drift lines up with it.
Green Star 2
Near Yoshi’s tilting platform, spot the star out beyond the edge. Jump directly towards it with Yoshi, flutter to extend the distance, then dismount and spin for the final reach. Face the star before launching from the tilting surface.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
