Twin Falls Hideaway
When you arrive on this planet, defeat the Koopa a little on the left and grab its shell, with which you are faster under water than normal. Now swim forward to progress in the level. There is nothing special on the way, you can defeat the Anemonos by aiming at them with the light beam of the shell. If you lose the shell once, there are some on the way. You can use a Launch Star on the way to get a nice view and some Star Bits. Now keep swimming, now you have to go under the waterfall.
Keep swimming, always take care of the Anemonos, even if you own one, as the light beam must be directed at the Anemonos, otherwise it will stay alive. Without shells, you have to hurry because you will run out of air at some point. When you reappear, you find yourself on a large lake.
Comet Medal
The Comet Medal is located under water in a shell.
You will discover a Hungry Luma, but this is only important in a later mission. Swim to the tower and climb it. On the tower you will discover a ground-pound switch. Stamp it down so that the whole lake freezes into an ice-skating surface. Due to this effect you can no longer under water, but you can now climb the waterfall using wall jumps. At the top is the Power Star, which you can free and collect from the crystal with a few spins.
Exploring the Cosmic Cavern
In the beginning, when you arrive, you will find a trapped Luma. A key, which all penguins seek, frees it. Look for the key. Move on, Best of all, you do a spin while running on the ice to ice, so you progress faster. Dodge the platforms by jumping over them and dodge the ice flames as well. You will see a tube on the right. Use these to move forward.
You get into a dungeon, first use a ground pound to get through the blocks. You now slide down until you arrive in a small “lake” where you come across a penguin. Continue to the right, here comes a part where you have to pay attention. Continue to the right and try not to get caught by the bubbles, if you do, quickly use the spin to free yourself. Go ahead and then jump up using the wall jump. Continue to the right and activate the checkpoint. Go to the point where there is water and go underground. Keep swimming down until you get to a point where you don’t get any further. Use the switch on the right and the path will open. Now you have to swim very fast in order not to be caught by the eels. Once you’ve reached the bottom, use the tube to continue the mission.
This part of the level does not take the laws of gravity very seriously, here the water floats in the air. First activate the checkpoint. Then go ahead and jump up into the water. Swim up, try not to get caught by a jellyfish. Then swim to the right.
You can now jump out of the water or swim on the right, both paths lead up, on the land you have to jump back into the water soon. Keep swimming up, avoid the water mines and jump out of the water a little further up. Then go left, avoid the paragumba and jump back into the water. Swim up and then jump right out of the water. Go to the right. The next part is a bit tricky as the water moves, but not with you, you have to swim with yourself. So first jump into the first water block and swim with it. Swim again and then swim up to the next water block. Then, when you get to the top, jump up to get the key that frees the Luma. Then move to the right, collect the Star Bits in the background in the form of a Luma and then use the tube.
You land again on the starting point. Now talk to the Luma. This one turns into a Launch Star and this one takes you to the Toad spaceship. Then use the checkpoint and take the Launch Star to get to the last planet.
Take the whirlwind drill near the starting point. It's really hard to say where the specific points are, so the side where there is no drilling site is called the right.
Take the larger drill point on the left, about in the middle, not on the side, otherwise you'll bounce off. You land on the other side of the planet. Defeat all robot coopas and the key for the glass dome appears. Take it so that it is opened. Now take a whirlwind drill and drill in the spot, if some water comes. Now the whole planet fills with water and the Power Star becomes accessible.
Catch That Star Bunny
This mission is a secret mission.
Move towards the lake, collecting all possible coins that you will find along the way. There is also a large? coin, with which you get some coins. Then go to the Hungry Luma by the lake, you need 15 coins. Give it to him and he turns into a new planet. Use the Launch Star that appears.
Once on the planet, you will encounter a Star Rabbit that you must catch. This one is very fast, you can only catch it if you first press the ground-pound switch, which freezes the whole planet to ice. However, this effect does not last continuously, after some time the ice disappears. Be careful not to fall into a hole. Try cutting off the rabbit’s path when you catch him, you’ll get a Power Star.
Comet Medal
Before freezing the water in Twin Falls Hideaway, dive into the large swimming area. Enter the giant underwater shell to collect the medal.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
Choose Twin Falls Hideaway. Freeze the water, then wall-jump up the twin waterfalls. At the normal star’s cliff, look beyond the edge instead of breaking its crystal. Drop towards the green star below.
Green Star 2
Choose Exploring the Cosmic Cavern and reach the second aquarium area. Find the small platform with a Goomba. The star is off its right side; line up a controlled jump towards it.
Green Star 3
In the same cavern mission, swim up to the key in the second aquarium. From the platform to the right of that upper area, face left and long-jump into the suspended star.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
