Wild Glide Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy 2 guide hub

Fluzzard's First Flight

In this mission you are allowed to use the Tuku Glider for the first time. The control is explained to you quite precisely by a bird right at the starting point. After the declaration is completed, we go. Don’t worry, time doesn’t matter.

Comet Medal

The Comet Medal in this world is relatively difficult to reach. You have to fly through all the red gates on the track, which is often not very easy due to the altitude. You probably need several attempts, if you have flown through all five gates, a glass dome opens, which is directly on the way to the goal. One difficulty is catching the Comet Medal, if you don’t catch it, you can start all over again to get the Comet Medal…

First, just fly forward and sink something. Flying on and on, whether up or down actually doesn't matter, to get the Comet Medal d rather has to fly down, but it actually doesn't matter. You now come to a larger place, but always fly straight out and sink from time to time, so that you can get through extinguishers in the wall.

Keep flying, make sure you don't bump anywhere. At some point, you get to a kind of fork where there are only two extinguishers in the wall, it doesn’t really matter where you fly. After the cave there are ice lances, if you directly collide with one, it's off, if you just roam, your Tuku glider loses a wing. Now fly on, the big star gate is already visible, fly there and fly through it, then the Power Star is handed over by a bird at the starting point.

Jungle Fluzzard Race

The mission is only available once you have received a letter from the birds.

Right at the beginning of the level you can see a trapezoid. Hang up and get as much momentum as possible. When you reach the highest point on the right, you jump off. In the air, you shake the remote to get a little higher. With a little practice, you get to the upper wall. On the wall you now press the A-button to make a wall jump. Repeat this until you reach the top. There the star awaits you.

Comet Medal

Pass through all five comet-shaped gates in one flight. This opens the medal’s enclosure near the finish; steer through it before crossing the finish line.

Green Stars — unlock requirement

Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.

Green Star 1

During Fluzzard’s First Flight, approach the wall with two openings. Ignore the upper 1-Up opening and steer into the lower hole carrying the river. The star sits in that lower passage.

Green Star 2

After leaving the cave near the end of the course, bank right towards the mountain tip. Keep the star lined up ahead of Fluzzard and adjust gently so you do not skim past it.

Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
