Surf, Sand, and Silver Stars
Swim to the other side of the planet and take the Launch Star. Once back on the ground, it is necessary to collect 5 Silver Stars. Ride to the beach with Yoshi and swallow one of the spiky creatures. Now run up the hill and destroy the cage to get to the first Silver Star.
Run right past the Spinies and swing with the floating flowers to the top of the statue where the second Silver Star is located. Finally, take a Dash Pepper and sprint towards the sand-colored platform. Among them is the nearest Silver Star. After that, swim to the floating ball in the water. Strike into the air with Yoshi, perform a backflip at the highest point, make a spin and reach the next Silver Star. Then leave Yoshi’s back and dive down into the small cave. Here you will find the Comet Medal.
Run back to the other side of this island and get Yoshi. With him you swallow one of these spiky creatures again and head towards the great tower. To the right is a Blimp Fruit, which you now destroy. Hover up the tower and get the last Silver Star.
Climbing the Cloudy Tower
Dive to the other side of the planet for Launch Star and head right towards the mushroom-shaped tower. Swim down and then through the opening to get to a small Launch Star. So you are shot up, where you now activate the red switch per ground pound. As a result, a cloud flower appears on a small piece of island. Run and grab them.
Now, without touching the water, walk towards the high tower. Run around the water until you discover one of the islanders. He stands in the water and makes hectic throwing movements. But do not jump into his arms, otherwise you will lose the cloud flower, but march a little further until you reach a small mountain of sand.
From there you hop by long jump on the second moving cloud. But in between you have to make a cloud yourself, because the distance is too great. Now make a leap against the tower and shake another cloud. So you come to the third moving cloud. Ultimately, you complete a backflip or make another cloud for safety so as not to fall down. Grab the cloud flower and get to the Power Star.
Purple Coin Beach Dash
Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears.
For this comet star, it is again necessary to collect 100 Purple Coins under time pressure. Grab Yoshi immediately and swallow the first Dash Pepper. The coins were drawn row by row in a straight line through the level. Due to the extreme speed you have to control Yoshi with very gentle steering movements. Since a total of 140 coins were distributed, you do not have to mourn every missed copy. The bottom line is that this star is quite easy to pick up.
Comet Medal
Swim towards the floating buoy in the Silver Star mission. Leave Yoshi and dive into the small underwater cave beneath that area to collect the medal.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
Choose Surf, Sand, and Silver Stars. Bring Yoshi to the palm tree beside the floating buoy. Use a Blimp Fruit to reach the tree’s ? Block, then flutter into the star above it.
Green Star 2
In the Silver Star mission, face the star out over the ocean near the tower with the Cloud Flower switch. Use a Dash Pepper to build speed, jump towards it and flutter, then dismount for extra height if needed.
Green Star 3
Choose Climbing the Cloudy Tower. Activate the tower switch, take the Cloud Flower and ride the leaf raft to the floating trampoline. Orient the trampoline upwards, launch high and place clouds at the top of successive jumps to reach the star.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
