Flip-Flopping in Flipsville
At the beginning, maneuver through one of the round grids by executing a ground pound. So you get to the other side and now stand upside down. Continue on the right to the last grid and stamp yourself back on the front. Again, use the second grid to get hold of the Comet Medal by backflip. Finally, take the third grid and drift up until you finally reach the Launch Star.
Touch the Checkpoint Flag and move back down to avoid being rolled over by the Chain Chomp. Finally, maneuver back up as soon as the Chain Chomp has rolled over you. Grab the maxi mushroom in the opening and always avoid the Chain Chomps on your way. Finally, use the next Launch Star and touch the checkpoint.
Take the rear of the two grids and jump up to the moving one. Stomp up as soon as you reach the spikes. Now go to the next record and change the page as soon as it is necessary. After a short time you reach the next Launch Star, who catapults you to the Toad ship. Touch the Checkpoint Flag and get shot for the boss fight.
Boss Fight: Glamdozer
Go to the bottom of the planet and run a ground pound on the grid where the monster sleeps. Run away and try to lure it to one of the grids as you run to the other side. Of course, this only works with the plates on the edge. If you try a little, you’ll get the hang of it soon. After the first hit, the creature spits at you with dangerous balls, but you can easily avoid them. The third time there is finally and another Power Star is yours.
Flipsville's New Digs
In the second star of this galaxy, all grids were exchanged for Earth. For this you take the Spin Drill and drill through the rooms. The Launch Star can finally be found on the bottom right as soon as you reach the top.
Touch the Checkpoint Flag and drill on the bottom. Now go right between the two earth towers and shoot your way up. Now stand exactly in the middle so that you land on the tower of the bottom. Move to the lower left quadrilateral to finally reach the tube at the top.
In the following section, gravity constantly changes direction. You have to collect five Silver Stars with your vortex drill. Just always look at the sequence and drill through the holes in the earth at the right moment. So you quickly have all the Silver Stars together and pick up the Power Star in the middle.
Purple Coin Spin Speed Run
Select this challenge when the Prankster Comet appears.
With this comet star, you have the end of Flipsville’s New Digs as your starting point. Now you do not have to collect Silver Stars, but all Purple Coins within 2:30 minutes. These are always distributed in straight rows, so they are always trying to reach into a swing. It is best to go from right to left to avoid unnecessary return. Since the time limit is not too tight this time, you can also wait a bit for the circling enemies to gain no damage. With a little practice, you can soon call this star your own.
Comet Medal
Use the starting room’s grates to move between its upper and lower sides. At the second grate on the returning upper route, backflip into the medal before taking the third grate onwards.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
In Flip-Flopping in Flipsville, stop at the Launch Star in the maze-room area. Find the sparkling wall edge nearby. Walk close to that edge and drop towards the star beneath it.
Green Star 2
Pass the first Chomp and flip into the next area. Near the circular Life Mushroom platform, use the raised Octoomba ledge as your starting point. Backflip and spin, or wall-jump, onto the roof to reach the star.
Green Star 3
At the end of the lift section, spot the star towards the upper-right. Flip the grate to stand underneath the level, following the changed gravity arrows. Jump from the lower-right corner towards the star; check alignment because there is no recovery platform.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
