Silver Stars Pop-Up
Run to the right to the door that opens slowly. Then go to the left and to the top. This is how you get to the Launch Star. Before you can also explore the other alleys, where you can find an extra life, for example. Finally, drive forward with the platform and touch the Checkpoint Flag.
Jump back to the dice and follow them until you have to jump down to the next row. A little sensitivity is needed here. Also here you walk along, past the ghosts and along the ceiling. Here you will also find the Comet Medal and the next Launch Star. On the crescent moon, you collect all five Star Bits to release a Launch Star again.
On the next platform you must now collect all five Silver Stars. The first two you reach on the ground, for the next you have to activate the red switch in the corner. Jump from wall to wall to collect the rest. Finally, the Power Star appears.
Haunting the Howling Tower
Also crosses the labyrinth at the second star of the galaxy. Orient yourselves a little on the coins that you find up to the green tube. If you are near the Bowser statue, you have to move a bit to the right. Here an invisible door to the tube opens.
Touch the Checkpoint Flag and grab the new spirit mushroom. With him you can make yourself invisible and float through walls. Follow the course up to the top where the Power Star is waiting for you.
The Star in the Sinking Swamp
This is a secret star!
For this secret star, choose “Silver Stars Pop-Up”. When you’re on the third moving platform, you’re not jumping into the Launch Star, you’re jumping to the next moving record. For this you will need several attempts, as it is very difficult to reach and moves quite quickly. So focus on your path. If your life supply is tight, you can first collect the question mark coin, which makes three extra lives appear. Timing and patience is the key to the Power Star here!
Comet Medal
Ride the Snake Blocks through the sinking swamp. Near the Launch Star, collect the medal from the moving route before taking the launch; the starting platforms collapse behind you.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
Follow the Snake Block route used for the third mission. At the last sequence of moving blocks, watch the left-hand side. Long-jump towards the star as the platform draws level with it.
Green Star 2
On the rocking crescent moon, look underneath its lower edge. Step off only when lined up with the star below, and use a spin to make a small correction during the fall.
Green Star 3
In the graveyard section, wait for the roof to rise. Face towards the camera and long-jump from that roof into the star out in front of the structure.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
