The Rainbow Road Roll
Roll your ball along the way. For now, be rather careful on the road to get to know the track first. At the junction, you decide on the right and more difficult path, if you want to take the Comet Medal. Do not go against the boundaries, otherwise you run the risk of falling. In the end, you just have to roll into the hole and collect the Power Star.
Purple Coins on the Rainbow Road
For this comet star you have to collect a total of 100 of the total 110 Purple Coins. The route is unchanged, but you have to complete the right path. Now a lot of perseverance and practice is required. If you don’t catch individual coins, just leave them out before you crash. At the end you address the Gearmo who gives you the star.

At the junction, choose the right-hand Expert Path. Steer through the medal on the narrow rainbow route; the easier branch does not pass it.
Green Stars — unlock requirement
Collect all 120 regular stars and defeat Bowser again to unlock the Green Star hunt. Choose the corresponding Green Star mission from this galaxy’s mission screen. Follow the detours below rather than collecting the normal mission’s ending star.
Green Star 1
Take the Beginner Path near the start. Keep the Star Ball centred through the Bob-ombs and Mini Goombas on the bumpy slope. Jump just before the slope drops away, using its speed to reach the star in the air.
Green Star 2
Near the end of the final rainbow road, look to the right before reaching the ending planet. Steer towards the star and jump before the edge; keep enough momentum to cover the gap without rolling past the target.
Check each numbered Green Star on the mission screen after collecting it. The routes finish immediately when the star is touched, including stars suspended over a gap.
