Luncheon Kingdom – Power Moons 1–26

Super Mario Odyssey guide hub

01: The Broodals Are After Some Cookin‘

From the Odyssey, follow the path towards the Gourmet Settlement. After a few meters, you’ll reach a circular clearing where Spewart from the Broodals is waiting for you.

Spewart is covering the ground with toxic slime. Throw Cappy into the puddles to clear safe paths.

Next, approach the Broodal and throw Cappy at his hat several times. Once Spewart is stunned, jump on his head.

After each hit, he retreats into his hat and hurls himself around the arena. Keep moving and simultaneously remove the newly distributed slime with Cappy.

In the final section, Spewart moves significantly faster and covers a larger portion of the ground with poison.

After three hits, the Broodal is defeated and the Power Moon appears.

02: Under the Cheese Rocks

Cross through the Peronza Plaza and follow the newly opened path towards the meat plateau.

In the area with the staccatos and the large yellow cheese rocks, two pan-shaped brothers are waiting.

Capture one of the frying pan brothers and throw his pans at the cheese rocks. Mario’s normal attacks cannot destroy the hard rock.

First, smash the cheese-shaped rocks on the raised platform. A green lever will be revealed under one of the blocks.

Leave the pan-bro and throw Cappy onto the lever. Pull it back completely.

This makes the glass dome disappear and you can collect the Power Moon.

03: Big Pot on the Volcano: Dive In!

Follow the path to the Meat Plateau checkpoint. A huge piece of meat lies on the raised platform.

Cape the meat and move it back and forth so that the salt is shaken off its surface.

Cookatiel discovers the supposed ingredient, grabs the meat and carries Mario to the large feast stew at the summit of the Mount Volbono.

Jump over the large pieces of vegetables and meat in the pot. Some ingredients will move or briefly sink into the stew.

Make your way to the raised platform in the middle. There you can collect the Multi Moon.

Then, Cookatiel hurls Mario from the summit, altering large parts of Luncheon Kingdom.

04: Climb Up the Cascading Magma

After the first multimoon, the previous route to the Mount Volbono summit is blocked. Travel to the Volcano Cave checkpoint – entrance in the western part of the country.

Enter the cave and capture a Lava Bubble. As a Lava Bubble, you can move safely through the pink lava.

Swim up the long magma fall and use the small lava pools as intermediate stops.

Watch out for the lava fountains. If necessary, wait until they subside before jumping over the narrow sections.

At the end of the magma fall, several lanterns are burning. One of the lanterns is not yet lit.

Jump into the unlit lantern as a lava bubble. It will light up and the Power Moon will appear.

05: Cookatiel Showdown!

After the magma fall, follow the path to the checkpoint Ascent to the Summit – Start.

Climb the mountain, avoiding the thorns, peppers, and other obstacles. You can capture the gourmets in the walls and use them like elastic poles.

At the checkpoint “ Ascent to the Summit – Peak“, you capture a lava blob. Jump into the cannon with it and let yourself be launched into the giant cooking pot.

Boss fight against Chief Rooster

Cookatiel spits long streams of pink lava into the pot. Swim up the fresh magma flow as a lava blob.

Dodge the falling ingredients and spiky enemies. When you reach Cookatiel, jump out of the lava and hit him on the head.

After each hit, Cookatiel flies off, spewing out a longer and more dangerous lava trail. Keep moving and use the safe areas of the pot until a new path has formed.

On the third pass, the path is particularly narrow and fraught with numerous obstacles.

Hit Cookatiel a total of three times. Afterwards, the boss is defeated and you receive a Multi Moon.

06: Piled on the Salt

Go to the rooftops south of the Peronza Plaza.

You can reach the buildings via the large ingredients, the pillars at the edge of the square, or the gourmets in the walls.

Jump from one roof to the next and follow the elevated route towards the Odyssey.

On top of the last building is a large white pile of salt.

The Power Moon is clearly visible at the edge of the salt collection.

07: Lurking in the Pillar’s Shadow

Travel to the Peronza Plaza checkpoint.

Go to the building to the left behind the flag and carefully look over the edge. Below the platform, there is a small niche between the tall stone pillars.

Drop down onto the narrow ledge.

The Power Moon is hidden in the depression behind one of the pillars.

Alternatively, you can capture a Lava Bubble north of the Odyssey and swim across the lava sea to the niche.

08: Atop the Jutting Crag

Travel to the Peronza Plaza checkpoint and leave the town heading east.

Capture a lava blob and jump into the cannon near the wooden posts.

The cannon hurls you over a high, blue-green rock.

Exit the lava blob during flight using ZL as soon as you are directly above the ledge.

Steer Mario towards the narrow point as he falls. The Power Moon is located there.

09: Is This an Ingredient Too?!

Go to the Peronza Plaza and walk past the Crazy Cap shop on your left.

In the narrow alley behind the building stands a tall stack of wooden crates.

Destroy all the crates with Cappy or a ground pound. The Power Moon is hidden in one of the crates.

After being destroyed, the moon flies onto the roof of a nearby house.

Use the large ingredients or the surrounding buildings to get onto the roof and collect it.

10: Atop a Column in a Row

The Peronza Plaza is surrounded by several tall stone pillars.

Climb over the buildings or the large vegetable ingredients to reach one of the lower pillars.

Then jump from pillar to pillar towards the southeast corner of the square.

A spot on the ground sparkles on the last pillar.

Perform a ground pound attack there to reveal the Power Moon.

11: Surrounded by Tall Mountains

Travel to the Meat Plateau checkpoint.

Looking west towards the lower-lying blue-green mountains. A bright spot can be seen on one of the jagged rock outcrops.

Perform a long jump from the meat plateau onto the mountain. If necessary, supplement the jump with a cap throw and a dive.

Run to the northern tip of the rock and perform a ground pound on the sparkling spot.

Then the Power Moon appears.

12: Island of Salt Floating in the Lava

Travel to the Salt Pile Island checkpoint and capture a Lava Bubble.

Southeast of the flag lies a second small island in the lava sea. Its surface is completely covered with white salt.

Swim to the island as a lava bubble and jump to safety.

In the middle of the salt island, a spot sparkles.

Leave the lava bubble and perform a ground pound there. This will reveal the Power Moon.

13: Overlooking a Bunch of Ingredients

Travel to the checkpoint. Ascend to the summit – peak.

Capture the Lava Bubble and use the cannon to launch yourself into the large cooking pot on the volcano.

Views from the edge of the pot looking southwest towards the blue-green mountains west of the Peronza Plaza.

Jump out of the pot and steer Mario onto the long mountain ridge.

Follow the rock to its southern end. There, a spot sparkles above the large collection of ingredients.

Perform a ground pound attack to obtain the Power Moon.

14: Light the Lantern on the Small Island

Travel to the checkpoint, path to Meat Plateau.

Directly in front of the flag stands an unlit lantern on a small island in the lava sea.

Capture a Lava Bubble and jump into the lantern. This will ignite the fire and the Power Moon will appear.

Alternatively, you can capture a nearby pan or fire brother and hit the lantern with a fireball.

15: Golden Turnip Recipe 1

To the right of the Crazy Cap shop in the Peronza Plaza, three turnips are stuck in the ground.

Throw Cappy at the middle plant. It’s a golden turnip.

Pick up the golden beet and carry it to the large feast stew in the middle of the square.

Jump onto the edge of the pot and throw the turnip in.

The gourmets process the valuable ingredient and present you with the Power Moon.

16: Golden Turnip Recipe 2

Return to the protruding rock face where you found Power Moon 8.

East of where you found it, there are three more turnips in the ground. Use Cappy to pull out the middle one.

Carefully carry the golden turnip towards the checkpoint “ Road to Meat Plateau“.

Then let yourself fall onto the lower path and cross the blue-green rock steps to the Peronza Plaza.

Throw the golden beet into the large cooking pot in the square.

As a reward, you will receive the Power Moon.

17: Golden Turnip Recipe 3

Travel to the checkpoint, path to Meat Plateau, and capture a pan-brother.

Follow the path north until you reach the large ramps. Then, head right around the blue-green mountain.

There, several cheese rocks block access to a hidden spot.

Destroy the rocks with the thrown pans. A golden turnip will be revealed under the last block of cheese.

Leave the pan-brother and take up the golden beet.

Carry them back to the Gourmet Settlement along the same path. Throw them over the rocky steps and ramps if Mario needs to climb a higher ledge.

Finally, throw the turnip into the large cooking pot to obtain the Power Moon.

18: Luncheon Kingdom Timer Challenge 1

Behind the Odyssey are two gourmets hidden in the high rock face.

Capture the gourmets one by one and pull Mario back. Release at the right moment to launch yourself onto the roof of the adjacent building.

There is a scarecrow there.

Throw Cappy at it. Several narrow platforms will then appear on the cliff face, and the Power Moon will become visible above the building.

Immediately execute several wall jumps between the temporarily appearing surfaces.

Since Cappy stays on the scarecrow, you can’t use cap jumps or dives.

If you reach the top platform in time, you can collect the Power Moon.

19: Luncheon Kingdom Timer Challenge 2

Travel to the Peronza Plaza checkpoint and go south to Spewart’s former battleground.

At the edge of the platform stands a scarecrow, overlooking the sea of lava.

Throw Cappy at her. A path of purple blocks will then appear, leading to a golden key.

The purple blocks disappear shortly after you step on them. Therefore, only walk along one side of the path on the way there.

Touch the key. This will cause the Power Moon to appear next to the scarecrow.

Return via the untouched side of the purple platforms.

If you reach the starting point in time, you can collect the Power Moon.

20: Luncheon Kingdom Timer Challenge 3

Travel to the checkpoint. Ascend to the summit – Start and turn around.

Behind the flag stands another scarecrow.

Throw Cappy at them. Two large platforms will then appear, which will tilt to one side or the other due to Mario’s weight.

First, run to the first platform and stand at the far end. As soon as the opposite side rises, run forward and jump onto the second platform.

Repeat the process and reach the golden key at the end of the route.

After touching it, the Power Moon appears near the scarecrow. Cross the two seesaws again in the opposite direction.

Since the time limit is short, you should wait as little as possible for the platforms to move.

21: Beneath the Rolling Vegetables

Journey to the remote island in the lava in the northeastern part of Luncheon Kingdom.

Enter the green pipe on the island to reach a two-dimensional bonus area.

Run under the pan-rolling brothers and dodge their projectiles. The large vegetable ingredients roll regularly through the narrow path.

Wait for a sufficiently large gap and then run to the next safe section.

After the second green pipe, you move across a steel beam while lava bubbles jump out of the magma.

Follow the 2D course to the end. There you can collect the Power Moon.

22: All the Cracks Are Fixed

This Power Moon is also located on the Remote Island in the lava.

There are a total of six cracks or small elevations distributed across the island’s floor.

Perform a ground pound on each damaged area.

Huge vegetable ingredients are regularly hurled towards Mario from the large opening at the edge.

Observe their trajectory and dodge to the side before repairing the next crack.

After you have stamped all six spots, the Power Moon will appear.

23: Taking Notes: Swimming in Magma

Capture a Lava Bubble and swim to the remote island in the lava.

To the west of the island, a colored treble clef floats above the sea of magma.

Touch the treble clef to reveal a lava blob. A long string of musical notes will then appear, leading all the way to the island.

Follow the musical score at high speed. Shaking the controller makes the lava bubble move faster.

At the end of the sequence, some musical notes are floating above the lava. Jump out of the magma in time to collect them.

Once you’ve touched all the notes, the Power Moon will appear.

24: Love Above the Lava

There are four Goombas running around near the Odyssey.

Capture one Goomba and jump on the three remaining enemies. This will create a tower of four Goombas.

Take the tower to the large yellow corn cob platform above the lava.

Stand on the corn cob and walk against its rolling direction so that Mario doesn’t fall into the lava.

Roll the platform up to the female Goomba with the red hat.

Approach her with the fully equipped Goomba Tower. As a reward for a successful romance, you will receive the Power Moon.

25: Shopping in Mount Volbono

Visit the Crazy Cap shop in the Peronza Plaza and talk to the yellow salesman.

There you can buy the Power Moon for 100 gold coins.

26: Luncheon Kingdom Slots

Behind the large pile of vegetables in the gourmet settlement is a small building with a striking decoration.

Enter the house and pay 10 gold coins at the counter to participate in the jackpot game.

Five image fields are rotating in front of you. You must stop the Power Moon symbol on all five fields simultaneously.

Stand sideways next to the displays and observe their rhythm.

As soon as the Power Moon symbols appear in a line, throw Cappy horizontally through several spaces. You can then stop the remaining indicators with another well-aimed throw.

If Power Moons are visible on all five fields, you will receive the real Power Moon.
