After completing the main story, the adventure continues. More Power Moons can be found in almost every level.
Attention: You must first look at the picture so that the Power Moon can be found.
In total there are 21 clues, ten of which are located on the dark side of the moon.
Cap Kingdom
The moon is located in Moon Kingdom.
The artwork for this Power Moon is located on a wall near the Crazy Cap shop, towards the Top-Hat Tower. The moon itself is in Moon Kingdom. There, Mario must go to the starting area where the creatures from the different kingdoms are sitting, and perform a ground pound attack approximately behind the second one from the left (the Lochlady).
Sand Kingdom
The moon is located in Bowser’s Kingdom.
On the east side of one of the eastern houses in the settlement, you’ll find clue art that leads you to Bowser’s Kingdom. Travel to the souvenir shop in Bowser’s Kingdom and stomp on the corresponding plate.
Lake Kingdom
The moon is located in the Cascade Kingdom.
The Lake Kingdom signage on the stairs northwest of the Odyssey leads you to Cascade Kingdom, more precisely to the fossil remains directly at the Odyssey.
The limb directly next to the Amiibo Toad is missing from the clue art. You need to perform a ground pound here.
Wooded Kingdom
The moon is located in a desert region.
Near the Odyssey, there’s a picture showing the Koopa performing the Koopa Arrow Run next to two bushes in Desert Kingdom. Travel to Desert Kingdom and perform a ground pound at the spot shown.
Metro Kingdom
The moon is located in Lake Kingdom.
You can find the Metro Kingdom art on the western of the two triangular buildings south of City Hall. You have to jump from the roof to the north side of the skyscraper. You’ll see the painting on the ledge.
The painting depicts a section of the Lake Kingdom. It’s the third level of the Lake Lamode, where the water pipe leads upwards. You can summon the Power Moon with a ground pound attack.
Snow Kingdom
The moon is located in the Lost Kingdom.
The clue art of the Snow Kingdoms can be found directly to the left on the wall at the entrance to the Shivering Hollow settlement. It very clearly points to the Lost Kingdom.
In the screenshot, Poochy is standing on the root of the tree below the two propeller pillars north of the Rocky Mountain Summit. You can obtain the Power Moon by performing a ground pound attack on the corresponding root.
Seaside Kingdom
The moon is located in Metro Kingdom.
You’ll find this clue art on a ledge on the cliff face a few meters east of the Odyssey. You can see the word „KEEP,“ which is also written on the streets of Metro Kingdom. Travel to the main entrance checkpoint. Here, you need to perform a ground pound between the words „Clear Keep.“
Luncheon Kingdom
The moon is located in the Coastal Kingdom.
The artwork clearly points to a hidden moon in the Coastal Kingdom. Use the “ Sea Trench – West “ checkpoint and swim underwater from there in an easterly direction. Immediately before the deep sea trench, you’ll find a row of coral on the seabed – you can perform the ground pound on the highest one.
Bowser’s Kingdom
The moon is located in a desert region.
You’ll find the painting on the north side of the giant wall in the main courtyard. After that, you can find this Power Moon in the desert area. In the Moe-Eye habitat, you’ll find a lone cactus almost at the edge of the world. You need to perform a ground pound next to it.
Moon Kingdom
The moon is located in the forest.
You’ll find this painting in the church’s vestibule. The moon is located in the Forest. Use the checkpoint there to „Iron Mountain Road – Access.“
To the left of the industrial complex, you’ll find a small crevice. In the corner by the scarecrow, you need to perform a ground pound attack, and then the moon is yours.
Mushroom Kingdom
The moon is located in the Cap Kingdom.
The Mushroom Kingdom clue art is located in Peach’s Castle and fairly clearly points to a spot in the Cap Kingdom. So, travel to the first level of the game using Odyssey and go to Glasses Bridge, northeast of your ship. Stand on the southern of the two high hills on the bridge and position yourself near the fence on the east side. Now, align the camera as shown on the clue art and perform a ground pound to make a Power Moon appear.
Dark side of the moon
- The moon is located in Cascade Kingdom. The first image can be found on a fruit-covered mountain in the southwestern part of the central island. It shows Cascade Kingdom.
Use the checkpoint “ Above the Fossil Falls „, run to the large western island and perform a ground pound on the northeast side, diagonally behind the stone steps.
- The moon is located in Metro Kingdom, on the back side of the giant pumpkin in the southwest part of the central island.
Go to Metro Kingdom and travel to the heliport. Above the yellow stripes next to the heli-H, you’ll find a Power Moon using the ground pound attack.
- The moon is located in the Mushroom Kingdom.
You can find this clue art on the back of the second large pumpkin in the southern part of the central island.It’s the bush maze in the Mushroom Kingdom. You need to perform a ground pound between the outer bushes on the west side.
- The moon is located in Cloud Kingdom.
On the wall on the lower level of the central island, you can find image #4 (almost next to image #3). You need to go to Cloud Kingdom. There, perform a ground pound attack in the center of the northwestern circular mound. - The moon is located in Snow Kingdom.
You’ll find the image on the secret lower level on the east side of the central island. You need to go to the Snowflake Slope in Snow Kingdom. Perform a ground pound on the wooden arch with the emblem. - The moon is located in the Seaside Kingdom. You can find the image on the small tower of the central island, where the telescope is located.
The coastal area shows the Rolling Canyon. You have to perform a ground pound attack between the two stone pillars by the sea.
- The moon is located in the Lost Kingdom. You will find this painting on the back of a large pumpkin on the northeast side of the central island.
You need to go to the Lost Kingdoms and then to field C4 (use the map). It’s at the northeastern tip of the lower Odyssey Peninsula. There, at the edge of the island, you can find the Power Moon using the ground pound attack.
- The moon is located in Luncheon Kingdom. You will find the picture of Luncheon Kingdom on the small wall in the north of the central island.
In the southeast corner of the Gourmet Square, next to the large blue cooking pot, one resident is missing. You need to perform a ground pound attack right there.
- The moon is located in Lake Kingdom.
A little further to the right, on the same wall as picture 8 (or moon 22), there’s another picture. It shows the pillar at the bottom of Lake Kingdom. You can get relatively close using the “ Lake Lamode Showcase “ fast travel checkpoint. Next to the missing pillar on the right (the second one from the right overall), you’ll find this moon with a ground pound. - The moon is located in the Ruins Land. The last picture, which this time shows the Ruins Land, is hidden on the back of the large pumpkin in the far northeast of the central island.
At the beginning of the stairs, in front of the small rubble wall, you will find the last Power Moon.
