Attack on Klippdorf
After your arrival in Klippdorf you will be received enthusiastically by the Cragnon living there. They consider Mario and his companions to be the saviors sent by the Great Rock and take you to their village elder.
Be ready to help the Klippulans. If you initially refuse, you can explore the village, but only continue the actual path after you have promised your support.
As soon as the conversation is over, several Floro sapien attack the village. Leave the house and defeat the two attackers. Bowser can turn them off particularly quickly with his fire breath.
More Floro sapien kidnap several Cragnon and flee to the right. Follow them across the bridge. Along the way, you can watch the stone TVs and other unusual devices in the village.
At the end of the way, use the Save Block and walk through the door.
In the next section you should carefully walk through the high grass. Between the plants hide small opponents, which are hardly visible from the normal perspective. Regularly switch to the 3D view to detect and bypass it early on.
Also, pay attention to the yellowish colored foul piranhas. Their poisonous breath can poison you. Almost all healing objects eliminate in addition to lost strength points also the poison.
Two hidden catch cards
Runs first to the extreme right end of the section and jumps into the green warp pipe there.
In underground space, two schlorps are waiting. Normal attacks hardly do anything for them. However, they swallow everything that is right in front of their mouth.
Set off Boomer in front of a schlorp and wait for the opponent to suck in the bomb. The explosion causes damage from within. Each of the two schlorps must swallow a total of two bombs.
Once both opponents are defeated, a chest appears. Open it and take Bowser (2) card No. 227 to you. She shows Bowser in his white wedding suit.
Returns to the surface through the warp pipe and runs to the left. Inside a question mark block is a Happy Flower, which rains coins from the sky for a short time.
Then climb over the big hill. Drop all the way down on the left and switch to 3D view with Mario.
In a hidden niche behind the rock face stands another chest. Inside is the Moon Cleft card. They will cause double damage to all Moon-Kirks in the future.
Return to the 2D view and climb the hill again. Change up to Princess Peach and slide with her umbrella to the left over the great gorge.
Let yourself fall down on the other side. There are three empty blocks next to each other.
The first block puzzle
The three blocks must be activated in a certain order. You will receive the intended note from a Cragnon in the village.
If you want to find the hint yourself, return through the door to Klippdorf. Run left in the village to the place where the heroes fell from the sky at the beginning of the chapter.
One of the Cragnon draws attention to himself through a speech bubble with an exclamation point. Talk to him and ask for the code.
For the faster way you can use the following order directly:
Left – right – center.
Return to the three blocks and jump first to the left, then to the right, and last to the middle block.
Once you have entered the correct combination, a green warp pipe appears. Jump in and you get into the background of the landscape.
There you will see the kidnapped Cragnon and the fleeing Floro Sapien. Follow them to the right.
Along the way, several large, elephant-like mammus face you. A Mammu has 100 strength points and therefore withstands unusually many hits.
Switch to Bowser and use his fire breath as consistently as possible. Due to his double attack power, he is the best choice for these opponents. With Carrie, you can balance Bowser’s low speed while breathing fire.
If you have healing objects with you, you should not use them too early. Due to their high number of strength points, the mammus can drag the fight a little longer.
At the right end, you reach three empty blocks again. For this puzzle you need a much longer combination.
The notorious 25-part block code
Also the second code knows the Cragnon in the village. If you want to experience the planned solution, you have to walk back the entire way to the village and talk to him again.
This time, however, he would like to be asked especially politely. Choose the request for help and give the word
Please
A total of five consecutive times.
Then he asks if you have anything to write. Answer the question with yes. He then calls you a very long sequence of 25 entries.
So that you do not have to travel the way again, the full code is:
Center – right – left – left – right – center – right – right – right – center – right – right – right – left – center – left – center – left – left – left – center – center – center.
For better control, renumbered:
1. Middle 2. Right 3. Left 4. Left 5. Right 6. Middle 7. Right 8. Left 9. Right 10. Right 11. Middle 12. Right 13. Right 14. Left 15. Middle 16. Middle 17. Left 18. Left 19. Left 20. Right 21. Left 22. Left 23. Left 24. Middle 25. Middle
Start the three blocks exactly in this order. No confirmation signal sounds during the input. Therefore, take your time and tick the individual steps best mentally or on a note.
If you type yourself, the combination simply starts again with the middle block. Once all 25 inputs have been executed correctly, another green warp pipe will appear.
Jump in and get back into the background. Run right there and follow the path behind the great rock.
At the end you reach a second green warp pipe. Get in, return to the foreground, and move to the right.
Jump against the Star Block to complete chapter 5-1. The persecution of the kidnapped Cragnon continues in chapter 5-2.
