Flipside after Chapter 7
The Last Pure Heart
After the end of chapter 7, you will automatically return to Flipside. During the conversation with Merlon, it becomes clear that there is little time left: The Void is growing faster and Count Bleck is about to complete his plan.
The eighth Pure Heart already has its full power. Therefore, you do not have to let it revive first, but can go directly on the search for the last Heart Pillar.
First save your progress and then travel through the Spiegelhalle to Flopside.
The Eighth Heart Pillar
Go to the house of Norlem and switch to the 3D view with Mario. Runs on the left through the gate and follows the narrow bridge to the flopside edge.
Switch back to the 2D view and follow the path to the right. Along the way, some high obstacles block your direct path. Switch to Luigi and use his high jumps to get over the walls and blocks.
On the far right, you finally reach the eighth and final Heart Pillar. Use the Pure Heart and watch the last door open in Flipside. In contrast to the previous doors, it is completely black and leads directly to Schloss Knickwitz.
Then return to Flopside by the same route. Also on the way back Luigi helps you to overcome the high obstacles.
Preparations for the final chapter
Before you go through the black door, you should prepare well. Chapter 8 is significantly more combat-intensive than the previous sections and contains several boss fights. Once you have entered Knickwitz Castle, you will not be able to return to Flipside at any time.
Therefore, stay at the hotel of Flopside or Flipside first, so that your HP is completely filled up. Then visit a shop and fill free inventory places with healing items.
Especially useful are mushrooms and other foods that restore a greater amount of HP. Also items to increase your attack power or temporary defense can help you in the coming battles.
If you still have weak healing objects, you can have them processed into more effective food at Saffron or Dyllis beforehand. However, make sure to leave enough space for items that you find within the castle.
Finally, save your progress again.
Departure for Schloss Knickwitz
Drive in Flipside with the elevator to the left of the Save Block to the plane with the dimension doors. The eighth door has now appeared. Due to its black coloration, it differs significantly from the previous approaches.
As soon as you are ready, step through the door. On the other hand, Schloss Knickwitz awaits you and thus the last chapter of Super Paper Mario.
