Flint Cragley Misses His Film Crew
Run right from the start and jump over the narrow stone platforms. In the question mark pad above you is a super mushroom that restores 20 force points.
Shortly after, she meets the well-known television star Flint Cragley. The self-proclaimed adventurer has descended into the Floro Caverns for his show “Flint Cragley, Klipptrotter”.
However, his two crewmembers Hornfels and Watzmann have disappeared. Karl also claims that one of the two carries a key that opens the locked door into the deeper part of the cave.
Get ready to search for the two Klippulaners and climb into the green warp pipe behind Karl.
Drop in the next area to the lower level. On the left is already the locked door, for which you need the cave key. Since you do not have it yet, you first run to the right and use the Save Block.
Defeat the Stone Beetle with Cudge or grab another opponent with Thoreau and throw him against the spiky Buzzy Beetle. You should avoid normal jumps because of his tank.
Then examine the soil in this area. Clear cracks can be seen at one point. Put Boomer on it and blow up the ground.
Beneath the fracture site appears an optional green warp pipe. Get in and collect the numerous coins in the secret room. In addition, switch to the 3D view, as more coins are hidden behind the visible rows of coins.
Then return to the surface and follow the path further to the right. Go to the next green warp pipe.
Hidden blocks and the first Lorenweg
Run to the right in the long cave. Between two rows of indestructible stone blocks are several invisible question mark blocks.
Examine the gap with Tippi. It makes two hidden blocks visible. One contains a coin, the other a mushroom.
Follow the path and watch for the fast Spanias. The horned enemies rush towards you as soon as they discover Mario. Cudge and Bowser’s fire breath are well suited to eliminate them from a safe distance.
In one of the following blocks is a tempo flower. If you collect them, the entire environment moves faster for a short time.
Shortly afterwards you reach a larger collection of wall and question mark blocks. One of the upper blocks contains a hidden ladder. Destroy or activate the blocks until it appears and climb up.
At the top is a moving yellow platform. Stand on it and collect as many coins as possible during the journey. At the end of the course, you drop down again.
Return a little way to the left and enter the nearby door. Behind it is the first mine cart.
Jump in and be sure to switch to the 3D view with Mario while driving. At a rail switch, the Mine Cart thus takes the hidden path to the left.
If you stay in 2D during the journey, the route ends in a dead end. There are several hypnotized Cragnon, but they are not important for the solution.
At the end of the right 3D path, you reach a door. Go through and cross the big gap with Princess Peach’s umbrella.
Follow the upper path to the right until you find horn rock. He is the sound master of Karl’s film crew.
Talk to him and tell him where Karl is waiting for him. Hornfels automatically makes his way back. At the same time, he tells you that the Floro Sapien control Cragnon with so-called wash leaves.
Then jump against the block on the wall. As a result, a ladder appears over which you can more easily reach back to the door.
Take the mine cart back to the starting point.
Mushroom Shake and Another Coin Room
After the return trip you will find another green warp pipe near the mine cart door. Get in if you want to collect an optional healing item.
In the lower room you can see on the wall a section whose paint slightly deviates from the rest of the rock. This is a disguised yellow block.
Smash it with Cudge and then switch to the 3D view. Behind the distant blockade, a narrow corridor leads to a chest.
Open it and take the mushroom shake. He restores ten strength points.
Returns through the warp pipe and follows the main path to the right. In one of the blocks between the tubes is a flower brake. During their action, you move slower, but get more points and coins for defeated opponents.
At the next block group you will find a coin block and a mushroom. Then a high wall blocks your way. Jump over the trampoline or switch to the 3D view and walk past the block.
Directly behind is a large yellow block. Smash him with Cudge and enter the exposed door.
Optional Coin Room: Near this path stands a conspicuously placed rock on a platform between two pits. Explore him with Boomer. Behind the stone appears a door to another coin room. Also switch to 3D to collect all coins.
The Long mine cart ride to Watzmann
Behind the door uncovered with Cudge, a particularly long mine cart ride awaits. Jump into the Mine Cart and enjoy the track with its numerous turns and rollovers.
This time you do not have to change dimensions during the journey. The mine cart will automatically take you to the door at the other end of the track.
Go through it and let yourself carefully drop to the lowest level in the next room.
Several Klipposapiens walk around here. These are kidnapped Cragnon, who were hypnotized by the Floro sapien with wash leaves.
Do not attack the Klipposapiens. For each defeated Klipposapiens you will be deducted points. Switch to the 3D view and just walk past them sideways.
The question mark block at the lower level contains a zombie mushroom. Defeat him or leave the block untouched.
Runs on the ground to the right end and changes to the 3D view. Behind the wall, a hidden opening becomes visible.
Follow the short aisle and take the Spania card No. 076 to you. With it, you will cause double damage to all Spanias in the future.
Return to the main path and jump to the raised brown blocks. Once you reach a closed block wall, you smash the lower blocks with Cudge or blow them up with Boomer.
Runs through the resulting opening and jumps up on the other side. There is Watzmann, the cameraman of Karl’s broadcast.
Speak to him. Watzmann also automatically returns to Flint Cragley.
Then drop down, leave the room and return to the previous section with the long mine cart.
The key was all the time with Karl
Now you have to travel the long way to Flint Cragley. Return with the first mine cart, use the tubes and follow the cave passages until the beginning of the chapter.
Talk to Karl again. He asks Hornfels and Watzmann about the key, but neither of them owns it.
After some back and forth, Karl realizes that the cave key was stuck in his own pocket all along. Of course, he still sells this embarrassing discovery as a dramatic turn of his television show.
You will receive the cave key. Get back behind Karl and his crew in the green warp pipe.
Drop down and open the locked door on the left with the key.
Behind the door is another mine cart. Get in and drive to the next section of the cave. Goes through the door at the end of the rails.
With the Megastern to the hidden exit
In the last large room, a Floro Sapien stands in your way. Defeat him with Bowser, Cudge or one of your other Pixl.
Then switch to the 3D view. Near the entrance, a large yellow block blocks access to a question mark block.
Smash the yellow block with Cudge and jump against the question mark block. There is a megastar in it.
Collect it and turn into a giant 8-bit figure. Run quickly to the right and roll down all Floro sapies, Klipposapiens and obstacles on your way.
Defeated Klipposapiens also cause a point deduction during the megastar transformation. However, the path can hardly be completely avoided in the short time.
On the far right, you can see another yellow block. You can destroy it with Cudge, but behind it there is no exit or object.
Therefore, return to the left to the middle of the room. Switch there to the 3D view and examine the rock face.
A second yellow block is disguised so that it looks like part of the cave wall in the 2D view. Smash him with Cudge.
Behind the block, a hidden door emerges. Go through and jump in the last room against the star block.
Chapter 5-3 is closed. Flint Cragley, Hornfels and Watzmann will accompany you even deeper into the Floro Caverns in the next chapter.
